Stories Included: Arena Lights by Mandi Beck | End Goal by Ella Fox | A Slice of Love by Teagan Hunter | Dear Ava by Ilsa Madden-Mills | The Teaching Hours by Sara Ney | Body Heat by Rochelle Paige | The Strike Out by Meghan Quinn : Guys Like You by Charleigh Rose | Fast Break by Kennedy Ryan : Love Game by Emma Scott | Fair Catch by Kate Stewart
About Charleigh Rose: Charleigh Rose lives in Narnia with her husband and two young children. She’s hopelessly devoted to unconventional love and pizza. When she isn’t reading or mom-ing, she’s writing moody, broody, swoony romance.
About Ella Fox: USA Today Bestselling Author Ella Fox has learned a bunch of stuff along the way but the most important of all those things is that anything is possible when you try. In 2012 she took a big leap of faith and published her first book, Broken Hart. Since then she’s written fifteen more full-length books and several novellas– and every one is a reminder that you can live your dream as long as you work for it. Ella’s favorite things are music, movies, traveling, The Foo Fighters and, of course, reading. This isn’t a surprise considering the fact that her mom is USA Today Bestselling Author Suzanne Halliday.
About Emma Scott: Emma Scott is a bestselling author of emotional, character-driven romances in which art and love intertwine to heal, and in which love always wins. If you enjoy emotionally-charged stories that rip your heart out and put it back together again, with diverse characters and kind-hearted heroes, you will enjoy her novels. RECENT RELEASES A Five-Minute Life (standalone) Bring Down the Stars (Beautiful Hearts #1) Long Live the Beautiful Hearts (Beautiful Hearts #2)
About Ilsa Madden-Mills: Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and USA Today best-selling author Ilsa Madden-Mills is best known for her contemporary romances ranging from new adult angst to romantic sports comedy. A former high school English teacher, she adores all things Pride and Prejudice, and of course, Mr. Darcy is her ultimate hero. She’s addicted to frothy coffee beverages, cheesy magnets, and any book featuring unicorns and sword-wielding females. Feel free to stalk her online.
About Kate Stewart: A Texas native, Kate Stewart lives in North Carolina with her husband, Nick, and her naughty beagle, Sadie. She pens messy, sexy, angst-filled contemporary romance as well as romantic comedy and erotic suspense because it’s what she loves as a reader. Kate is a lover of all things ’80s and ’90s, especially John Hughes films and rap. She dabbles a little in photography, can knit a simple stitch scarf for necessity, and on occasion, does very well at whiskey.
About Kennedy Ryan: A RITA® Award Winner and Top 25 Amazon Bestseller, Kennedy Ryan writes for women from all walks of life, empowering them and placing them firmly at the center of each story and in charge of their own destinies. Her heroes respect, cherish and lose their minds for the women who capture their hearts. She is a wife to her lifetime lover and mother to an extraordinary son. She has always leveraged her journalism background to write for charity and non-profit organizations, but enjoys writing to raise Autism awareness most. A contributor for Modern Mom Magazine, Kennedy’s writings have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul, USA Today and many others. The founder and executive director of a foundation serving Atlanta families living with Autism, she has appeared on Headline News, Montel Williams, NPR and other media outlets as an advocate for families living with autism.
About Mandi Beck: Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer. A wife, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met even though her favorite hockey player calls her…mom.
About Meghan Quinn: USA Today Bestselling Author, wife, adoptive mother, and peanut butter lover. Author of romantic comedies and contemporary romance, Meghan Quinn brings readers the perfect combination of heart, humor, and heat in every book.
About Rochelle Paige: I absolutely adore reading—always have and always will. When I was growing up, my friends used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing. I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it. When I told my mom that my new year’s resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me, “About time!”
About Sara Ney: Sara Ney is the USA Today Bestselling Author of the How to Date a Douchebag series, and is best known for her sexy, laugh-out-loud New Adult romances. Among her favorite vices, she includes: iced latte’s, historical architecture and well-placed sarcasm. She lives in the Midwest, collects vintage books, art, loves flea markets, and fancies herself British. For a list of cities/venues Sara will be signing at, or to purchase signed books, please visit her website.
About Teagan Hunter: I’m a Missouri-raised gal, but currently live in North Carolina with my US Marine husband and 9-year-old dog. I spend my days begging him for a cat, and I survive off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When I’m not writing, you can find me binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I like cold weather, buy more paperbacks than I’ll ever read, and I never say no to brownies. Writing is my passion, and this is just the beginning of my journey.
I’ve only read a few of these novellas so far. Some of the authors are new to me, others are old favorites but they all have one thing in common. They’re short but very, very good.
Ava by Ilsa Madden-Mills
I love this author. I haven’t read anything by her that hasn’t made me laugh, cry or rage at times. Ava was no exception. It was mysterious, suspenseful, had a painful incident for Ava and even Knox has his own cross to bear. These two are kinda broken and still teenagers.
Ava doesn’t like, or trust Knox to begin with, neither did I but wow, he made us see him in a whole other light.
This story was both heartbreaking and heartwarming, watching these two become one. Can’t wait for the full-length novel coming early next year.
A Slice Of Love by Teagan Hunter
Frankie Callahan had a huge crush on a star quarterback Jonas Schwartz all through high school. Jonas felt the same way, but it’s only in senior year that he actually has the chance to be with her. Frankie was a ‘no-touch’ girl as her father was the town pastor and her mom the high school principal. Jonas kept his feelings under wraps until they’re lone one weekend.
Frankie is over-joyed when she finally gets the opportunity to show Jonas how she feels about him. Things go awry shortly afterward and Jonas is forced to do something he never wanted to do.
Four years later, Jonas is injured, his newly started NFL career on hold and is a delivery boy.
Frankie never thought she’d see Jonas again, certainly not with a pizza pie in hand. She’s mad as hell at him but all Jonas wants is a second chance.
This was a sexy second chance romance. It had a few bumps along the way to the finish. I really enjoyed how Ms. Hunter pulled it all together in such a short novella.
Love Game by Emma Scott
A story set in the world of professional tennis. It was fast-paced, tense and very enjoyable. I really liked the characters. Kia was broody, deep and had a chip on his shoulder. Daisy was sweet and kind. Hired by Kia’s agent to help him through Reiki and massage, she was pulled into his world. Daisy had some inner demons of her own challenging her. When they came together it was beautiful.
The Teaching Hours by Sarah Ney
A short but very dorky and sweet story about Hannah Peterson, a young woman looking for the ‘right’ guy. She thinks she knows what she wants, until she comes across Rex Gunnerson on her university’s dating app. Rex seems like a nice guy. He’s quiet and nerdy, the complete opposite of what she is searching for. But, then she asks for his help learning how to date.
Rex is more than just a nerdy guy.
But can he be ‘the guy’? The Teaching Hours will tell.
“Another brilliantly written winner. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up, you will not regret it.” —Kate Stewart, USA Today bestselling author
Dr. Elijah Hawkins needs … something. After his wife jumps headfirst into a midlife crisis, he’s left with his young son, Roman, and a lot of unanswered questions. That something turns out to be a someone—Dorothy Mayhem, nursing student, patient transporter, reckless driver, and emu owner. Dorothy studies humans, the neurotypical kind, through books and television. Then she emulates their behavioral patterns to fit in with her peers. But nothing can prepare her for Dr. Elijah Hawkins. Single dad. Brilliant pediatric oncologist. And the sexiest doctor at the hospital. When his failed attempts at asking her out turn into a string of playdates with his son, Dorothy finds herself unexpectedly enamored with the boy and his father. And that’s a problem, a huge one, because Elijah’s ex-wife is a famous plastic surgeon—and Dorothy’s idol.
Perfectly Adequate is a beautiful, hilarious, and heart-felt journey along the “human” spectrum.
Jewel is a free-spirited romance junkie with a quirky sense of humor.
With 10 years of flossing lectures under her belt, she took early retirement from her dental hygiene career to stay home with her three awesome boys and manage the family business.
After her best friend of nearly 30 years suggested a few books from the Contemporary Romance genre, Jewel was hooked. Devouring two and three books a week but still craving more, she decided to practice sustainable reading, AKA writing.
When she’s not donning her cape and saving the planet one tree at a time, she enjoys yoga with friends, good food with family, rock climbing with her kids, watching How I Met Your Mother reruns, and of course…heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, panty-scorching novels.
I know it’s time to move on from my rocky past and get back out there and start dating again.
It’s just that every time I think about it, I get all nervous and sweaty.
Good thing I have a secret weapon to help me—my best friend, professional hockey stud Owen Parrish.
He’s the king of hookups, and promises he’ll be my guide through the world of online dating. With his help, I know this won’t be as hard.
• • •
I’ve never been this hard in my entire life.
My friend Becca wants my help hooking her up with some douchey guy from a dating app.
I said I’d help her—but now I’m noticing all kinds of things I can’t ignore, like how pretty she is behind those baggy clothes and messy buns.
I want to be the one to help her, to show her the ropes in the bedroom, and it turns out, Becca’s game to let me take a more hands-on approach.
But what happens when she’s ready to take her newfound confidence and move on? I’ve never been boyfriend material, but for her, I want to try.

When it comes to sports romances, Kendall Ryan really knows her stuff.
Another wonderful story from Kendall Ryan. All The Way is the second in the ‘Hot Jocks’ series. The books are standalones although previous characters do turn up here. This was a sweet and sexy story that was well written and with relatable characters. Becca and Owen just made me smile ( and snort laugh- see opening chapters) in this lighthearted friends to lovers story. It’s fresh, funny and just perfect for a wet weekend read. MY REVIEW by CEE CEE HOUSTON
Leddy Harper never fails to put a smile on my face. The uneXpected Plan did that and a whole lot more. I laughed, I cried. And even when I was shouting at these two characters to get their heads out of their ‘you know what’s’. I was still entranced by their attraction. The chemistry and banter is spot and I couldn’t put this down. I just had to read one more page, then one more chapter. Then I complained when it was finished because there were no more words. Perfect book for a cozy seat and a wet weekend. Grab your copy today.
About Leddy Harper
Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped. She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters. She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females. The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
